Balance and equalization are constant systems throughout the universe. As the bombs were falling on cities across the world on order of President George Bush, there was another war being waged within the empire to dismantle the framework on which these destructive forces rely. It was very apparent in the response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster efforts led by George Bush, that he intended to benefit from powerful legal systems which limit his liability and responsibility for not caring about select groups of residents effected by the disaster. While we as a species could have been forging peaceful global relations, instead we used that power to double-down on unsustainable investments like war.

Tony Robbins reflects on the tactic of commitment inconsistency- a situation in which a decision-maker’s preferences change over time in such a way that a preference can become inconsistent at another point in time. This tactic has been used as a strategy by governments – notably in the aftermath of the 2001 collapse of New York’s Twin Towers, where George Bush and cronies passed legislation which would have never traditionally been accepted by the people, but with strong outside pressures was quickly and illegally pushed through a governmental system which had ceased functioning as designed.

How could we create peace? Every day we have the opportunity in our interactions with others to teach people that the classic corporate formation of a boss and a imposed hierarchy of employees, is exactly the structure of fascism. Corporate culture subliminaly teaches millions of people the ideals of fascism every day through a culture that accepts bosses. Teaching people early in life about the role History plays as a topic for daily discussion in a community is presently nearly a requirement of the species to be able to make informed decisions about the future. With powerful systems at work behind the scenes working to undermine our ability to know, our shared goal is to make certain everyone has access to free and open resources for initiating sustainability now, and to promote this work to inform people, not profits.
