Intern – Radio Free (Independent Media)

This is a volunteer position for students with a passion for creating content on social media platforms.  Everyone is encouraged to apply, especially people with an interest in social media, journalism, video editing, marketing, and news. As a volunteer, you will help manage independent media platforms, and advance journalism in the interest of People, Not Profits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in crafting and executing social media strategies that emphasize new ways of delivering news online.
• Create and curate engaging content across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, aligning with our commitment to independent journalism.
• Analyze social media trends to optimize content reach and audience engagement.
• Work with a team to develop digital campaigns that promote under-reported stories and amplify diverse voices.
• Participate in virtual brainstorming sessions to explore creative methods of news dissemination.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in using major social media platforms and keen on exploring emerging digital trends.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and creatively.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• A genuine interest in independent media and delivering news in innovative ways.
